Elisheva Printz, lending director of the Jerusalem region, writes about Yad Sarah's newest branch in Kiryat Ye'arim (Telz- Stone) under the direction of the Felheimer family. * The family is continuing its own tradition as well as that of Yad Sarah's, and has established a local branch in their home * Photography: David Rothner *

The Felheimer family is currently leading Yad Sarah's new branch in Telz-Stone, continuing the giving-to-the-community tradition started at the family's former home branch in Sha'alvim. Yad Sarah itself started forty years ago in the original branch established by Uri and Michal Lupolianski in their home in Jerusalem. The Felheimers regard giving and lovingly serving the community as a significant educational value according to which children should be raised: giving to others, helping willingly in times of need and certainly, when the need is acute. Enabling an individual in need to stay at home and to make it safer and more accessible with the help of Yad Sarah's many services, is indeed a worthwhile endeavor. This was their way of life at their home in Sha'alvim and it was clear to them they would continue this tradition at their new home in Kiryat Ye'arim – raising funds, having professional training, opening a Yad Sarah home branch. The father of the family, Ya'akov, studies in a Kollel and the mother, Ayala, works to provide for the family. Studies and work are no doubt extremely important to this family, but giving back to their community always has a high priority. The children are well aware of the value of giving. The pictures speak for themselves.
