The course is the brainchild of Ahuva Zaken, former Deputy Director General for Standardization, Operations and Quality of Service at the Ministry of Tourism, who volunteers in the Public Relations Division. "The course includes both theoretical lectures on a variety of topics related to disabilities and guided tours of accessible tourist sites. The course covers Yad Sarah's wide range of special services for tourists and residents with disabilities, and introduces the students to Yad Sarah through its visitor's center, the Yad Sarah Experience. Among the lecturers in the course are representatives from: Israel4ALL; Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities; Beit Zussman, a multi-service center for the deaf and hearing-impaired; the Jewish Institute for the Blind; The Fund for Development of Services for People with Disabilities in the National Insurance Institute; The LATAM Nature Association, which makes nature accessible to everyone; Etgarim: Israel Association for the Disabled; the Shakal Association; the Matnas Association; and the Shalva National Center.
