To great fanfare, the Yad Sarah Experience arrives in the center of the country

The opening was bittersweet. Yad Sarah House in Raanana inaugurated its new visitors center and renovated entry floor in memory of its longtime director, Yossi Limor. Yossi gave his heart and soul to the Raanana branch and, unfortunately, did not live to see the beautiful new center or the renovations dedicated in his name. However, Yossi and Yad Sarah House have both left an indelible mark on the modern city of more than 70,000 residents. Family members and friends of both the family and Yad Sarah participated in the inaugural tour of the beautiful building, experiencing firsthand the Yad Sarah that is all about giving back and repairing the world in keeping with the Jewish value of "Tikkun Olam." Like the first visitors center in Jerusalem, the new center in Ra'anana uses all the most advanced technological tools, including three giant video screens. A film starring Dvir Benedek conveys this welcome message: Yad Sarah provides assistance with love and compassion, providing a wide range of services at low cost to help people coping with illness, injury, accidents, or disabilities. Yad Sarah's path has been unfolding since the days when Uri and Michal Lupolianski established a branch in their home during a cold Jerusalem winter, when they lent respirators to the children of neighbors. Today, more than forty years later, it is the largest volunteer organization in Israel with 110 branches and thousands of volunteers throughout the country. We are confident that the new visitors center, which beautifully conveys the Yad Sarah Experience, will flourish and will successfully fulfill its mission to increase the exposure of Yad Sarah to those living in the center and north of the country and deepen their connection to this special organization. The center seeks to instill awareness of the need to help others and to extend a helping hand. Yad Sarah is founded on the idea that no civilized society can flourish without these values. What a wonderful message for the younger generation!
