Requests for Assistance from All Over the World
Requests are flooding into the Tourist Desk at the Department of Public Relations. For the first time, people in wheelchairs can fulfill their dream of visiting Israel, knowing that a full service tourist department can supply their every need – transportation from the airport in specially equipped vans, outfitting of hotel rooms with needed equipment, and much more. Published: 15:07 (31/01/17) חיים שיבי
Yad Sarah’s 'Shikumon' is a day rehabilitation center that offers rehabilitative services to individuals who have undergone a traumatic event, such as an accident or stroke, or are suffering from a degenerative disease that has left them with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. The center operates from Sunday-Thursday from 7:30 am- 2:00 pm. We are seeking a volunteer for Wednesday or Thursday mornings, who is willing to commit to a regular schedule, as the attendees become very attached to the volunteers and look forward to seeing them every week. The position includes serving breakfast and working with attendees. Both men and women welcome.
